About

After graduating medical school and biomedical sciences at the University of Leiden, I started my PhD in the group of Marleen Kok in November 2017. During my PhD I focus on the immune infiltrate in primary breast cancer with the aim to:

  1. Profile the immune cells in a high-dimensional and spatial manner;
  2. Study the immune infiltrate evolution from primary breast cancer;
  3. Understand which breast cancer patients benefit from neoadjuvant immunotherapy and how this therapy can activate or alter the breast cancer immune infiltrate.

The first two aims are in collaboration with the groups of Hugo Horlings and Marc van de Vijver.
