In this project, we analyze whole genome sequencing (WGS) results from breast cancer patients sequenced at the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Hospital (AVL).

Whole genome sequencing provides complete genomic characterization and its significance in precision oncology is gaining recognition, particularly in metastatic cancer patients. Thus, analyzing the WGS results available in AVL is essential to determine its practical value in daily clinical settings. The ultimate goal would be to advise the use of WGS in the group of breast cancer patients in which WGS is most likely to contribute to decision-making regarding therapies.
